We are very pleased that you and your family were able to enjoy most of the family venues the resort has to offer. Hi Karen, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on TripAdvisor.
It is nice that you don't have to pay all those hotel/motel taxes and fees, just a 3% 'tribal' tax which really helped the family budget! The coffee pot in the room had very, very old grounds in it from a previous stay so long ago that it was growing mold! The location is a long ways from anywhere, it takes a good 30 minutes to get to Durango. The beds were nice, the room was nice but could have been cleaner. The food wasn't that great at the restaurant we ate at, pizza. But the pool is nice and stays open until midnight which is really nice. It's just a few feet long and it dumps into the swimming pool and is not by itself at all, it's just part of the pool. It is not a self contained river that goes around the pool where you will have peace floating around. They advertise a 'Lazy River' for the pool but that's not exactly true. However, they did have a nice bowling alley, swimming pool and miniature golf that was not too expensive. This is more of a casino than a resort, so we probably won't stay there again with small kids.
